- NSN or part number, if you have one
- Vehicle model and variant, for example MTVR MK23 A1
- Photos of the part and any tags or data plates
- Quantity, and the condition you need: new, NOS, remanufactured or used take-out
Repair or service
- Model, variant, year and serial number or VIN
- Symptoms, fault codes and recent repairs
- Where the truck is, and whether it runs and drives
- The outcome and timeline you are after
CAT ECM
- ECM part number and serial number
- Engine serial number
- What the truck is doing: no communication, fault codes, derate
- The work you need: programming, configuration or data transfer, diagnosis, or rebuild
Diagnostic kit
- The vehicle or equipment you will connect to
- The systems you need to reach: engine, transmission, ABS, CTIS, charging
- Which kit you are considering, SEME or VADS
Engineering or fabrication
- The original part number, if it has one
- Photos, measurements or drawings
- What failed, or why the original does not work
- How many you need
